Help Me Grow
Help Me Grow (HMG) is Ohio's birth to 3-years-old system that provides state and federal funds to county Family and Children First Councils. These funds are to be used in conjunction with state, local and other federal funds to implement and maintain a coordinated, community-based infrastructure that promotes trans-disciplinary, family-centered services for expectant parents, newborns, infants and toddlers and their families. The Ohio Department of Health, Bureau of Early Intervention Services (BEIS) is the lead agency administering HMG program in Ohio.

Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps (BCMH)
The Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps (BCMH) is a healthcare program of the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). BCMH links families of children with special healthcare needs to a network of quality providers and helps families obtain payment for the services their child needs.

Medicaid for the Aged, Blind or Disabled
Medicaid for the Aged, Blind and Disabled (ABD) is available to certain Ohioans to assist with medical expenses. Ohioans who are aged, blind or have a disability (as classified by the Social Security Administration) must meet established financial guidelines in order to be eligible. Some consumers in the ABD Medicaid program (125,000 consumers) access services through managed care, while the remaining population access care through a fee-for-service delivery system.

Children's Buy-In Program
Ohio's Children's Buy-In (CBI) program is a state-funded healthcare program for certain uninsured children in families with income over 300 percent of the federal poverty level (FPL). Applications for CBI are now being accepted, with enrollment beginning June 1, 2008. The program was created as part of Governor Strickland's plan to “Turnaround Ohio,” to provide more uninsured Ohioans with access to affordable health care.
